The next Vegas happening was the old west ghost town experience and lunch at the world famous Pioneer Saloon in the town of Goodsprings. Within this small town lies rich history and heritage of the old mining towns, Hollywood and the Wild West! Built in 1913, The Pioneer Saloon is summed up by the two signs that greets the patrons: “Open Everyday Till the Drinking Stops” and “Poker Players and Loose Women are Permitted in this Establishment”.
Hollywood came calling several times over the years with such movies as Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, The Mexican and, recently, Ms. Congeniality 2 filming significant portions of the film on location. It was also frequented by screen legend Clark Gable.
Topped off with graffiti walls in the bathroom and on the outdoor seating, the Pioneer Saloon served up a fantastic and delicious lunch in an authentic wild wild west style!
