Swatch Club Holiday Event Budapest 2019

We had the great fortune of greeting 108 guests from 14 countries. The event sold out in 3 SECONDS! At our annual Holiday Event, we enjoyed 3.5 days of a pure, uninhibited Swatch experience. Club members joined us in Budapest for an extended weekend of Hungarian culture, art, creativity, history and Swatch (obviously!). It all began with our warm welcome at the Marriott Hotel where we enjoyed a delicious dinner with a breathtaking view of the host city. Our guests had their chance in the spotlight when we visited Korda Filmpark to film four action-packed trailers – two with zombies and two with medieval theme. At the highly anticipated Gala Dinner on Friday night, we presented the exclusive event watch: LIGHT UP YOUR NIGHT (SO27Z104S), a very special Big Bold model with a glow-in-the-dark effect. We also took time at the dinner to introduce our new Gold members. Twelve of the 15 were able to join us in Budapest. For our entertainment delight, we arranged a unique ice sculpture show. And that was only the beginning... The next day, Club members explored the city and learned a Hungarian song during the Swatchy pop-up city discovery. In the afternoon, we toasted at the Zwack Museum before ending the day at a surprise location: the studio of a Hungarian artist, Gabor M. Szoke, known for creating monumental public sculptures out of metal and wood. At Gabor’s studio, Club members were treated to a one-of-a-kind performance by acrobats and the fastest folk dancers in the world. On the final day of the Holiday event, we enjoyed the beautiful weather and brunch at the Varosliget Café before everyone made their way back home. The event wouldn’t have been complete without traditional cuisine, dancing, music and lucky draw for exciting prizes. It was the perfect celebration to start the holiday season and to end the second decade of Swatch Club. In 2020, we’ll be celebrating our 30th birthday... so you can expect the surprises and events to be worthy of this major milestone. Stay tuned!
